Women's Ministry Re-Launch Recap

What an incredible evening we had together! I am so encouraged and excited for all God has in store for the coming year! I can’t wait to see what God is going to do through each of you ladies as you minister to one another in our new groups and as you grow closer to the Lord with each other. 

I wanted to take the time to send out a recap as I know that many of you wanted to be there, but were not able to attend. 

The Women’s Care Team is a group of women who are here to serve you if you are going through a difficult season and need a little extra care. These women are Godly women who are able to offer prayer, counseling and coaching. If you have a need, please email breanna@renovationchurch.com so that we can get you connected with a woman from the Women’s Care Team. Also, if you have a heart to minister to our women and are interested in serving on the Women’s Care Team, please email me.

The Women’s Ministry Transition Team was assembled this past summer by Pastor Leonce as he commissioned us to begin building a job description for our future Women’s Ministry director and start laying the foundation for what our future Women’s Ministry would look like. As we began the search process to fulfill the role, Renovation Church came under a time of transition as we left the 120 building and became a mobile church. We, as the Women’s Ministry Transition Team, prayerfully decided that it was best to push pause on the hire for now. We all realized that all 6 of us had unique giftings and a heart to see our fellow sisters flourish and that we could go ahead and start a Women’s Ministry ourselves! So here we are! Our first question was, how do we start a thriving ministry without having a large meeting space for women to get together? The answer is through groups! So starting in the new year (more than likely February/March) we will be launching several groups for you ladies! These will run for a semester, then we’ll have a little break, then re-start the groups again (hopefully adding a few new ones as we grow!). So here’s a breakdown of the groups we will be offering in the first go around. 

Run Group

If you love fitness, admiring God’s beautiful creation, and building community with other women, then this is a great group for you! Each week you’ll gather at various parks around the city to have a quick devotion time together, get a good jog in, and maybe grab a post workout smoothie or coffee together! You’ll be challenged physically and spiritually in this group and have a great time together!

Prayer Group

We believe in the power of prayer! We truly believe that prayer can move mountains! Our God hears us when we pray!  Would you love to grow deeper in your prayer life? Would you love to join in a group of women banded together praying for each other, the Church, the city of Atlanta, the nation, and the world? Let’s see our lives change through prayer! Let’s see God move in an even more powerful way within our church through our prayers! Let’s see our city change because we are on our faces seeking the Lord.

Dinner Group

Do you love to cook? Maybe you love the idea of learning more about cooking, whether it’s an elaborate meal, or something you can throw in the Crock Pot? Would you love to build more relationships with other women? 

This group meets together to share a meal together and build community. The group will rotate each week to a different members house. That member hosting will prepare a meal for the group and provide recipes for the meal in a shared google doc. We hope that through your dinners, you’ll learn about each other, learn about cooking, and more importantly grow deeper in your love for Christ as you see Him reflected in those around you!

Bible Study

If you would love to grow deeper in your love for the word of God and build community and relationships in the process, we’d love for you to join one of our Bible studies. We will be offering a few different bible studies, but all of them will be geared to growing you closer to God and closer to each other! These will be offered at different times during the week so that everyone can have the opportunity to participate!

Service Group

If you love being the hands and feet of Jesus within our community then this is a great opportunity to do just that! This group will get together each week to serve a local ministry here in Atlanta.

Finally, the Women’s Ministry Transition Team is beginning to plan a one day conference for our women!! We are planning on hosting this sometime in the Fall of 2020! So be excited and prayerful for this exciting event!!

I love all of you ladies of Renovation Church. What a gift you are to our body. I’m so excited to see how God will use and grow each of you in this next season of our church! It is a joy and an honor to serve alongside such powerful, gifted and unique women of God!
