This Week At Renovation | November 2, 2021
This week we are continuing our drive to support one of our community partners, and one of our members is raising support to serve college students. So much goodness, so little time.
Hey family, please join us in partnering in this season with our neighbors at The Center For Family Resources in their Thanks for Giving initiative.
In creating a specific "Smart Stuffer" box of ingredients, we partner in empowering and giving families in need the opportunity to celebrate their tradition in a way that is meaningful to them
HARD deadline for collection is Nov 14th.
The Center for Family Resources is empowering 1000 local Cobb families this thanksgiving with 1000 Smart Stuffer Boxes. We, Renovation Church, are partnering with them to help reach that goal.
Who is the Center for Family Resources?
The Center for Family Resources envisions a future where families and individuals will have the resources and support to escape the cycle of poverty by moving people to self-sufficiency through financial stabilization, housing, and education.
Why are we partnering?
Each Smart Stuffer Box will enable families to continue family traditions through a Thanksgiving meal, to gather with their loved ones and to give thanks in a way that is meaningful to them. We have the opportunity, out of a heart of gratefulness, to work with these families to give their thanks. In playing this small part, we may show who God is through our love, generosity and prayer! Our role can be to help families, like our own, celebrate as God designed them to by providing a little push with the resources that God has shared with us.
DETAILS:
We would love for you (and your family/friends) to help make a Smart Stuffer Box! The list of items in a box are listed below and should cost approximately $50-$60. Please make either a complete box or a partially filled box from the list of items below. While we prefer complete boxes, we want to meet your generosity and complete any partially filled boxes with you!

As soon as you walk through the front doors into the lobby, you will see a sign where you can place your box underneath. You can drop your box off right before or after the 10 am Sunday service. Serving College Students
The Real Movement’s vision is to bridge students together in christ by creating inclusive communities for students, beyond the lines of religion, culture, race and beliefs so all may encounter christ through our words, actions and lives. We do this through weekly events on college campuses with the goal of hosting a mix of believers and nonbelievers. Through conversations, we as believers earn the right to speak the Gospel to those that attend our weekly events.
Raising Support: Tricia Malloy
The Real Movement’s mission is to invest in people despite differences in background, religion, race, or culture in hopes that people see God through the volunteer’s words, actions, and lives. And if you know any people within The Real Movement, you know these people do this with excellence. And I may be biased, but this idea, this culture, is very unique and very much needed on college campuses.
This Summer after lots, and I mean LOTS, of prayer I decided to accept a full-time position at The Real Movement. With this ministry position, I am fundraising my salary. I chose to fundraise my salary not because I think this will be an easy task but because I want to devote all my time, energy, and financial stability to God. It is a privilege to accept this position so other naive young adults, like myself, can walk into a weekly event and be changed by God and this community. If you are interested or know anyone that would be interested in partnering with me financially please reach out to me via phone or email. This ministry has transformed me and nothing would give me more honor than to be a small piece in someone else's transformation and through your help, I believe I can do just that.
