Serve Day is a church-wide event where we have the opportunity to show our community the love of Jesus through what Jesus embodied; Service to Others. Renovation Church has a wonderful community in the Northwest that we want to love on and love well. July 16th, 2022 we will open our campus and go into neighborhoods serving those we encounter. You should expect the following:

Typical of most pastors, I have done my fair share of weddings. And typical of many weddings, 1 Corinthians 13 was read at several of them by either the bride or the groom or both, or a family member or friend. In other words, this "love poem" of the bible, or the "love chapter", has probably been read at more weddings than it has been preached in churches.
The regular use of this passage in wedding ceremonies has probably linked it so strongly in your mind with flowers, kisses, and dresses that as we read it together, you were thinking about the last time you heard it… at a wedding. Maybe not.
At one of these many weddings I have officiated, it hit me hard—these two have no idea what they are actually saying to each other in reading these words. They have no earthly idea what they are in for, especially when each realises that the words they are reading are not feelings that can be conjured but commitments of will that they must cultivate.

KAA Summer Kamp | July 18-22
Kids Across America will be using our Water Place property to host a week-long summer camp. Each day the KAA staff will have organized sports and adventure activities for children ages 8-13. The summer camp is daily from July 18-22. This is an amazing opportunity for children to hear the Good News of Jesus and have a great time OUTSIDE!

God’s story of redemption is told through the generosity of his people. We are reminded of that truth every time we see the impact that your ministry has on a child of God.
Have you ever read/listened to the Bible and gotten to a part where you wrinkle your eyebrows and go back a few verses because it feels like something doesn’t add up? I recently read Judges 20 (I know - not exactly the most popular book). On the first read, it appeared the Israelites had prayed to God on multiple occasions about if and how to go to battle against the Benjaminites. That they prayed wasn’t the shocking part (although, given their track record, it could be). The surprise was that God responded on each of the three occasions, they obeyed, and they suffered a loss. That might not be as shocking to you because I already ruined the surprise, but that is a big deal.
