This Week At Renovation | March 30, 2021

This week is Holy Week. As we lead up to the reflection and celebration of Easter weekend, we wanted to give you a sneak peek of what our worship community has in store for you. Before we get to that, let’s talk about small groups.

Small Group Leaders

Our Winter/Spring Semester of Small Groups is wrapping up. While we will have more to share soon on the impact this semester has had, we wanted to focus on our leaders today.

Even during the Before-Time (Pre-Covid), small groups were where our most profound bonds of community formed. The pandemic has continued to show us how foundational small groups are to our discipleship and relationships. We desire that everyone experiences a life-giving community to their fullest extent. This is all possible because of our small group leaders. Those women and men taking the lead in creating environments for community to flourish around shared interests.

After every semester, there is another opportunity for more leaders to join the fantastic group we have. If you desire to see community formed, your church activated in a part of the city, a passion that you want others to share in, or want to build relationships with people in your life stage, you have everything you need to be a small group leader. In previous semesters we have had people lead groups around cooking, Bible study, fantasy games, running, prayer, reading books, being a dad or mom, and homeschooling, to name a few. Most likely, you have a passion that is shared by others in our church. Perhaps this summer is the season to form a group around it.

To find out more information, ask questions, or get some guidance on small group leading, text “sgleader” to 94000. Our small groups team would love to help you take your next step.

We also have a testimonial from one of our small group leaders, Pierre Boncey. Check it out below.

Good Friday

Good Friday is an opportunity to reflect on the weight of our salvation. The grim beauty of what God’s love for us cost Him. Our Worship and Church At Home teams have crafted a memorable experience that will not only move us to reflection but build anticipation for our Easter celebration.

Our Good Friday Experience will be live-streamed on all our usual channels (Church Online, Youtube, and Facebook) at noon. If you are interested, check out the sneak peek.

Easter // Church At Water Place

As many have heard already, Easter is also the return of corporate worship or Church At Water Place. This gathering will begin at 10:00a. There are a few options for how you can engage in corporate worship at Water Place, and if you want a full explanation, we posted all these details in a previous post. If you are planning on attending Church At Water Place this Easter or anytime during the pandemic, you will need to reserve your seat.

This brings us to reservations post-Easter. Beginning Sunday, April 4th, you will be able to reserve your seat for Church At Water Place a week in advance. 9:00a every Sunday, the following Sunday will be available to reserve your seat in our reservation system. There are several different ways you can reserve your seat each week. You can go to renovationchurch.com/cawp and reserve your seat there. The most efficient way is through the “Church Center App.” Our communication team has made a step-by-step instruction video to walk you through this process. You can also register your children for RKM at the same time!

You can download the “Church Center App” here.

That wraps it up for this week. We can wait to worship with you in our homes and at Water Place.

~ Renovation Team

"If man had his way, the plan of redemption would be an endless and bloody conflict. In reality, salvation was bought not by Jesus' fist, but by His nail-pierced hands; not by muscle but by love; not by vengeance but by forgiveness; not by force but by sacrifice. Jesus Christ our Lord surrendered in order that He might win; He destroyed His enemies by dying for them and conquered death by allowing death to conquer Him." - A.W. Tozer
